Experiential enterprise learning

Create it. Launch it. Run it.

Build a virtual company, take it into a simulated market, respond to realistic business events, compete against other ventures — and reflect on everything you learn. Not an LMS. Not a spreadsheet: a strategy game with a real engine underneath.

Core experience

One journey, nine stages

Every learner builds their own company from a blank page and drives it through the full arc — discovery to reflection.

  1. 01DiscoverFind a business opportunity
  2. 02CreateCompany, product, brand
  3. 03ResearchCustomers and competitors
  4. 04PlanSupplier, price, stock, budget
  5. 05LaunchFinalise and go to market
  6. 06RunTrade through multiple rounds
  7. 07AdaptRespond to events and markets
  8. 08GrowScale the business
  9. 09ReflectReview performance and learning

Every important stage runs the same loop

Learn→Investigate→Decide→Explain→Predict→Experience consequences→Reflect→Improve↻

First product

Startup Challenge

Create a consumer-focused virtual business and run it through 8 simulated trading months against competing businesses. Different strategic choices produce visibly different, explainable trajectories.

Explainability

Every result explains itself

No AI writes the feedback. Each major output ships with the factors that produced it, so learners see cause and effect — and can argue with it.

What the learner reads

“Your competitive price increased demand, but low brand awareness limited your overall sales.”

  "factors": [
{ "key": "price", "impact": 0.12, "explanation": "Your price was attractive to Trend Seekers." },

Assessment model

Three scores that never collapse into one

How the business did, how good the decisions were, and what the learner actually developed are measured separately — always.

Business Performance

Financial health, growth, market position, satisfaction, brand, efficiency and resilience — 0–100.

Decision Quality

How coherent and responsive the team's choices were, judged against what the market was telling them.

Learning Development

Which objectives the learner demonstrated through reasoning, predictions and reflection.

Architecture

The simulation is the engine underneath

A pure, seeded, deterministic engine — independent of UI, authentication, database and transport. The same scenario, state, decisions and seed always produce the same results.

runRound({ scenario, businesses,
  decisions, round, seed
}) → RoundResult
  • Deterministic: seeded pseudo-randomness only — no Math.random in business logic.
  • Config-driven: segments, suppliers, events and scoring weights all live in scenario config.
  • Events modify variables (supplierCostMultiplier = 1.15), never profit directly.
  • The app layer loads data, calls the engine, then persists results.
